PLEASE NOTE: if you are visiting this page and are unable to make a reservation, it is because the event is technically at-capacity. To make room for those who wish to be on the "waitlist" we will open the adjoining room for guests to sit and listen to the performance. There is a good chance that you will be able to sit in the main hall, but if not, the acoustics are such that you should have a pleasant experience. Please visit http://beachculture21-1.eventbrite.com to save your "overflow" seat.

6:30PM Performance
Actress Linda Kelsey, soprano Anne Marie Ketchum, and pianist Victoria Kirsch combine their talents to celebrate the genius of Emily Dickinson in this performance that features the reading and musical setting of her poetry and letters. Three artists take the audience on a journey of discovery through the many facets of this great American poet.
Emily Dickinson's carefully wrought language traced perennial themes of nature, love, God, and death, and captured life in startling ways. Her prose and poetry have fired the imagination of a wide variety of artists, including featured composers Aaron Copland, Tom Cipullo, Lori Laitman and Steve Heitzeg.
This, and My Heart offers a multi-faceted view of this woman who lived boldly and uncompromised, and who "sang" with an ecstatic voice unparalleled in its beauty and power.
The piano for this evening's performance is provided by David Andersen Pianos, www.davidandersenpianos.com
